I’m in the military so every few years we move and I have my Jeep shipped so I can drive with my wife. This time around I went with Capital Transport & Logistics, Inc...Big mistake. Frank Wright was the employee that took my order. I kept asking if he needed a “3-5 day shipping window because if he did I wanted the dates to be 18-22 June”…his reply was “no, it’ll ship on the 20th”. He kept reassuring me so despite my experience I made the mistaken assumption that he knew his company and industry business operations and how to provide a quote to a customer. Danielle from Capital’s Dispatch has no idea was customer service is. I never raised my voice but every time I asked a question she talked over me or put me on hold. The experience was like dealing with a rabid animal. I heard nothing from Capital so I started daily calls on the 19th for driver info so they stopped answering my calls. On the night of the 22nd after Capital’s business hours, I cancelled my order via email in accordance with the instructions on Capital’s contract. Losing $25 out of my $100 deposit was a small price to pay for peace of mind that services would be delivered…I only lose $25 if they live up to the refund policy noted on their contract. The same night I cancelled with Capital I contacted eBidTransport and was quoted a competitive rate. Within 2 hours I had spoken with eBidTransport and the next morning a driver picked up my Jeep. 2 days after the 3-5 day ship window that Capital gave me had expired and my Jeep had already shipped with a eBidTransport, Capital called and said they could ship my Jeep but it would be another $100...wow. My advice is run as far and fast as you can from Capital and go with a company that is familiar with customer service and lives up to the terms and conditions of their contracts.
