I had scheduled this transport and paid the deposit on December 19, 2011, more than a month before my arrival to CA. The vehicle was available for pick up at any time prior to the January 10, 2012 date they had given me. They contacted me on 12/31 to wish me a Happy New Years and to state they were all set for my transport. I informed them the vehicle was packed and could be picked up at anytime. It had to arrive no later that January 16, 2012 in California. I then contacted them via phone on Friday 1/6/12 to check status and was told the driver would be contacting me that day to schedule time for pick-up. No call. I then contacted them on Saturday 1/7 at 2:10 pm (eastern time) and the office had closed. I then called them Monday 1/9 and again was told the drive was enroute to me and would be contacting me about scheduling a pick up. This time they was going to talk to disbatch to see if they could get any additional information for me. NO RETURN CALL. I again contacted them on my scheduled pick up date, Tuesday 1/10/12, and was told again driver was enroute and should just "lock my vehicle and leave my keys either under a tire or in the vehicles tailpipe." ( This vehicle was being pick up in a large plaza parking lot.) Would you do as they requested? My daughter called them, that same day, and was then told that they did not have a driver going to CA and would refund me my money. Later that same afternoon, they asked us to give them 24 additional hrs to locate a driver. We did.

After 3 additional days and no phone calls from the transport company, I was forced to hire someone else to now drive my vehicle across country, paying for hotels, meals and return airfare (plus time and fees) totalling over $1450.00. To hire another transport company, they wanted to charge me $1600 - $1800 and would be 10 days later than needed, since now it was a rush. Which then meant, car rental fees of approximentally $250 while I waited for it to show up.
This whole situation could have been avoided if they had been honest with me and simply stated they did not have a drive going as I needed. I could then have hired a different company sooner. They did contact me finally after I wrote a letter stating I was extremely upset with their company. They had found a driver but now the charge would be $1300.00 (not $1050.00). That was on 1/18/12. To this date, 1/27/12, I have still not received my refund and now have to go throught the bank to fight the charges. I had made my wriitten refund request on 1/18/12.

I would hope the company would see fit to compensate me for my additional charges which I would happily submit to them. But, with there lack of communication up to this point, I expect to probably seek legal assistance.
