I confirmed my request with Janet Bruce on a TH night at 9pm, by noon the next day she found a carrier to pick my car up...that day! Dave with Trent Enterprises picked my car up from the dealership and told my salesman it would be here on Sunday. I was shocked at the turnaround...and so was my salesman. I checked in with Dave and he was more than helpful, super polite. He actually arrived on Sunday 2 hours ahead of schedule and drove my car from the end of the street (where he could park his trailer) to my driveway. There was no damage of any kind, the car was a little dirty from being in the elements which is to be expected. I realize this sort of turnaround is not normal, but I got lucky - this guy had a last minute cancellation and he was headed my way. Thankfully, Capitol Auto Transport was on the ball!

Janet was so patient with me and my barrage of questions and concerns - I was a nervous wreck about the whole process and completely overwhelmed with information, I did A LOT of homework. The communication during the process was outstanding and timely. The carrier's contact information and insurance verification was emailed right away once he was booked. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with CAT or the carrier. In a sea of uncertainty, this company was an island of calm.

Originally, I called DAS (two friends used them with no issues) and United Road Services. DAS was way overpriced ($1053 door-to-terminal) and their BBB rating was terrible and then the salesman at United ($810) acted as though I was wasting his time asking about things like insurance, delivery times, guarantees, etc. The manager seemed stumped when I asked him for their proof of insurance (they are the carrier), he said no one had ever asked him before!?! Plus, their contract was terrible, basically absolving them of any responsibility for damage. CAT doesn't make you sign a contract - they don't get paid unless they find a carrier so they have to work for your money! DAS and URS - both wanted full payment up front and URS charged a cancellation fee per their contract, though the manager said the opposite, if you wanted out. In other words, if they couldn't get your car picked up fast enough and you wanted to find another carrier you would lose $150.

CAT's price was good but it was on the low end at $795 (some were $1200+) and I was concerned about the "low ball" warnings you come across. And their quote got buried in my email with all the others - you know what happens when you use a quoting site. I was eager to wrap up the shipping process that day and the guy from URS guy had failed to answer my 2nd attempt to contact him - then I happen to see a follow up email from Janet, did a little homework and decided to give her a call. So glad I did - she was so incredibly helpful, professional and full of information. This company is top notch! Your car WILL be in good hands with them!
