Late pick up, car was not delivered and I had to pick the car up myself. Car was damaged, and now they state paint chips is not covered under insurance!

They rescheduled the pick up twice. Then when the car was picked up, they provided me a delivery date. They told me to expect a call the day before delivery on a Friday. No call received on expected date on the Thursday. I then called CFR on the Friday and they told me the car was at the distribution center and would be delivered on the Saturday. They said the driver would call me on the Friday night between 6.00pm and 8.00pm and give me the time for the Saturday delivery. I never received any call on the Friday night.

I then called them again on Saturday. They said the car was not picked up and still pending a final transporter. They said it would be picked up first thing on the Monday and be delivered to be by noon on Monday.

I again took another day off on the Monday. But then again... No call from them. I called 5x to the main office of CFR, eventually they admitted they did not have a driver or transporter to pick my car up. I asked where was the depot my car was at, they provided me the address and asked me if I could go and pick this car up.

I ended up driving to the depot, and asking if my was car was there. Luckily the car was sitting in the car park and was able to do some documentation to get the car released and then drove it away. The car was very dirty and I could not see that it has lots of paint chips to the bonnet and wings until I had washed it. I have no idea if I can claim for the damage as I drove it off the lot as I could not see the damage due to the car being so dirty. I feel sick about this as the car is only 1/125 special edition and the paint is one of the features of being a limited edition model. I have at least 2 dozen stone chips on the car, that happened during transportation. It was flawless and perfect when picked up, I even have a report that states this as the car was inspected.

In summary. this transporter company is terrible. Did not pick up on time, did not even delivery the car to me, I had to take 3 days off work and ended up driving to the depot to get my car and then the car was damaged with lots of stone chips that I could not see until the car was washed as the car was so filthy.

I just got an email from their customer service. Please be warned, they do not cover paint chips to your car!
