CAR WAS DAMAGED AND LATE UPON DELIVERY!

To preface this, Bluestar Auto Movers had adequate customer service. However, it is unfortunate that Bluestar hires out third party truck companies to handle shipping service. With that being said, they chose US Auto Transport to handle the transport of my car which was a faulty mistake on their part.

US Auto Transport's driver, named Khamid, called me an hour before pickup and told me they would have my car delivered to Delaware a day before my flight was to arrive. When I told him I would not be able to be there for delivery (which I had stated to Bluestar prior to signing the contract), Khamid told me he would store the car in his "friend's yard". After this, I verified the call with Bluestar and told them how unprofessional their third party contractors sounded. Yosi from Bluestar assured me that US Auto Transport was a company they used often and was insured. With the assurance from Yosi from Bluestar, I reluctantly sent my car off with US Auto Transport.

I worked with Bluestar to find other drivers who would pick up my car from Khamid's "friend's" yard in Virginia, but Bluestar could not find any drivers. My car was to be delivered on June 26th. I did not receive any calls the day of, and when I called the Khamid, he did not answer and his voicemail box was full. I called the other driver listed on the bill of lading and he said his brother Khamid was in Arizona and would not make the delivery to me. When I finally got a hold of Khamid, I negotiated a $150 discount with him because he was going to be 4 days late with the delivery, at that point which he demanded cash. Bluestar had told me from the beginning that a cashier's check was accepted. I was uncomfortable with giving him cash, so I verified with Bluestar that a cashier's check would be acceptable.

Two days later, I called Khamid to verify that delivery would be on time on Thursday. and that Bluestar told me cashier's check was acceptable He began to yell at me and demanded cash again. He told me I was causing him trouble and he has "dealt with over a million customers but has never met anyone like me".

Two days later, no calls came and no car. When I finally got a hold of Khamid, he tells me he won't arrive until a day later. Strike 2. I began discussing another discount and he said, "if you ask about another discount, you will not get your car back". He had the nerve to threaten me! I then call Bluestar to ask them to deal with the driver instead of me because Khamid would harass me as soon as I called. Yosi assured me that he would keep me contacted the next day with what was going on.

The next day: no word from Bluestar or US Auto. Khamid calls to tell me that I will get my car at 8pm that night.

8:30pm: still no car. Khamid says he will deliver the car at midnight, which made me extremely uncomfortable since it is harder to see any potential damages at night and I am a female. But I agree. (At this point, I just want my car back!)

12:30pm: still no car. Khamid says he will deliver the car at 3am.

4:10am: still no car and no answer to my calls.

9:45am: Khamid calls and says he will deliver the car in 30 minutes.

10:45am: Khamid finally arrives with my car. Front bumper is damaged, there are strange burn marks on the roof of the car, and 40 miles were driven on it from the time the pickup occurred! I was assured from Khamid that the car would only be driven on and off the trailer! I'm pretty sure joy rides were taken with my car. 40 miles! And it was evident that someone had sat in the passenger seat. He then demands cash and when I told him Bluestar said a cashier's check was acceptable and he would have to talk to them, he replies, "I don't care. I just want cash". I take down his insurance information and he tries to negotiate a discount with me to deter me from reporting the damages to insurance. (Note: If a company is unwilling to take a cashier's check, they must not be a very reputable company.)

If Bluestar cared about their business, they would not hire third party trucking companies that threaten customers, damaged personal property, and yell at their customers. Bluestar are just as responsible for my damaged car as US Auto Transport.

This review was supposed to be on US Auto Transport's reviews and not Bluestar. Although they did try to deliver the vehicle two days early to the customer that wasn't available and because they couldn't re deliver it on a later date they offer to compensate her $150 that will pay for the flat bed from the storage facility to her house. It's was really hard to get a hold of US Auto Transport after they delivered her vehicle to the storage facility and that is why we choose to take them off our carrier list and not ship any of our customers vehicle with them ever again. We always answer our customer calls even if we don't have any news to give them.
