Just a salesperson

Good News:

I found Cathy, and Big Brother through this website. Cathy is an effective salesperson and I felt very comfortable giving her the business based on our conversation. She assured me that the car would be delivered within a short time frame, and that she had an extensive list of drivers that she used frequently and trusted.

Bad News:

I had not heard from Cathy for several days after signing the transport agreement. I called daily for updates with no response. Finally she called and said she found a driver but that it would be an additional $100. I refused, and was a bit put off by the up sell attempt. A few days later she had a driver at the quoted price and my car was on its way.

My car was damaged in process, and from what I came to understand is that this was the very first time this driver had worked with Cathy. She had lost some of her credibility with me on the up sell, and the remainder of it when she booked an unknown irresponsible driver.

Also, she overcharged my credit card for her fee and refused to credit back the difference. Her paperwork states “…. A credit card fee of $$$ is included in the fee…” what she means is “… a charge of $$$ will be added to the fee for credit card processing…” I gave her the benefit of the doubt and let it go.

Bottom Line:

Cathy is an excellent salesperson, but like everyone else, she is merely a facilitator and is virtually powerless after she sets up the transport contract. I would specifically ask her (or anyone you choose) what experience she has had with the driver, and for some references before allowing the pick up.
