Dave , We apologize you felt we were not knowledgeable enough to ship your vehicle to Hawaii. The $2100.00 quote I gave you was for shipping through Matson in which our company receives a corporate discount because we ship many customers successfully to HI - since you opted not to use Matson -that corporate rate was no longer available to us. Any customer I ever shipped to Hawaii for 6 years has picked up their vehicle in Hilo - because the main carrier -Matson does not ship vehicles into the port of -Kawaihae. you felt the drive was too long to p/up your vehicle in Hilo -so we researched and chose another carrier together. We then found a local tow place together on 3 way-conversation and set up transport for once it arrived to the island. We pride ourselves in meeting the needs of customers whether it be a familiar request or a new one. I apologize I was not familiar with every port in HI - so my job is to find out -what means were available to accomodate you- which I did. Therefore your inccurred additional costs for additional transport because you hired a local tow service on the island to bring it to you. That being said - I disagree with your review and am disappointed that the time we spent arranging your transport , the 20 emails along with numerous phone conversations between you , I and the agents for Hawaii all with constant updates /information and positive affirmations from you -turned out to be a negative result for you ................. it takes me by surprise and regret.
