My girlfriend and I had to move cross country on relatively short notice for a promotion/great lifetime opportunity. We decided to drive 1 car across the US, see some sights, and the other would be shipped. We wanted to take 10 days for the trip, meaning the usual timely delivery would not be viable.

I did some research and decided to call 3 brokers. Bears was my first choice, but I called all 3. Of the 3, Bears Transport's staff were by far the most competent and helpful. Liz listened comprehensively, provided information, and gave quotes based on our need to have the car arrive late (most moving companies want to get stuff from A to B as quickly as possible - that's how they make money). We paid an extra $100 above the initial quote to make sure the vehicle would be taken on a slower path (again, not the usual request).

Oh, and did I mention they bent over backwards to make sure that they could work with our company's direct billing?? Because they did. It is a huge pain, because the company does government contracts, Liz and her colleagues had to complete an unnecessarily long questionnaire that looks like something that falls between a first time doctor's visit, and an application for top secret clearance. We did not know this before contracting with Bears, only that they would need to fill out /some/ paperwork. They did, and then some. The good news is that they are now a preferred vendor for the company and never have to do that again when the company needs to relocate other employee families.

We get to CA a day late, so the car beat us by a day. But it's ok, they contracted with a local mover to hold the car until we arrived, then delivered it to our corporate transitional housing (we didn't have an address yet, so the car was sent on faith that it was generally going to be delivered to a certain city). The vehicle was in excellent shape , and the driver was friendly and answered any remaining questions I had.

5/5 I would recommend Bears to anyone moving a vehicle. They work hard, they provide the service asked for, go above and beyond to keep a deal, and partner with professional drivers (our pickup driver, by the way, also equally professional and friendly). My understanding is that they generally avoid switching vehicles among drivers, but in our case, it was necessary given the unusual nature of our delivery schedule.
