I was referred to BT Transport in an odd way. I sold a car on Ebay and the buyer used BT. BT picked the car up within a week for open car transport from Texas to MN and the driver made it there within 3 days. I was really impressed so I thought I would use them with my move when I bought my car off Ebay.

However, things did not go so well with my job. Basically, after you pay a broker the deposit they really don’t have to help you anymore till they find a driver for you. Actually, they don’t even find you a driver as the driver finds his pick ups by an online transport dispatch system. Once the driver finds a car they then call the broker and say they will take the car and then they have a driver to haul your vehicle. Drivers pick their loads so it may take up to a week to a month to pick up your car but it all depends on where the driver is headed and if they want to pick up your vehicle. All Brokers have to do is take your $200 to $300.00 deposit and add your name to this database and that is it. So your paying someone to type your information only on to a database and they make all that money to do that. Once they find the driver for you then it seems they quit helping you and it’s up to you to talk to the driver. BT can’t really tell their contracted drivers what to do. Only if it is their own driver. If it is someone they found they can’t tell them what to do but to make sure they get you car there on time. In which BT had trouble doing due to our truck driver staying in one state a whole week and BT stating that they would be here within 7 days. It's not the truckers fault as BT should have known how this driver operated. Instead, the driver got in contact with me and told me he would be here 3 days later (10 days) as he has a different delivery schedule of 10 to 14 days and BT has a schedule of 5 to 7 days. That’s where BT needs to get on the ball and find out what schedule their truckers are on and have better customer service. If you should ever need anything from BT, be careful who you talk to. One of them tells you things off the top of her head when she needs to look things up. Two of them tell you they will send you something or call you back and they never do. I was told by one employee that he would call me soon to let me know when the driver would show up. He told me more than once that he would call me back in 10 to 15 minutes and he has never called me back. I had to call him back each time. It is poor customer service to tell me they will call me and I have to be the one to call them back after 2 hours. Maybe someone should get them a note pad and a pen to write down what they say to people so they know to call people back. I hope they know this makes a bad impression on their company and if you don’t help your customers and say what your going to do no one will use you again. I know I won’t recommend anyone to BT after this bad experience. I was more aware of what was going on with my car than they were.

When I sold my car to the buyer that used BT, BT was suppose to call me to let me know when they were going to pick my car up. I never heard from anyone. The buyer had to call BT and find out why they hadn’t called me to tell me when they were suppose to pick up the car. (We ended up dealing directly with the contracted driver.) It seems to me that they need to learn how to call people. That is their number one goal - to learn to respond back to people when they say they will.

I would recommend going with someone that has Global tracking on their trucks so you can track them on the internet. That’s the way I will go next time. Pay more but maybe they will have better customer service skills. I was told by BT that someone would contact me over the weekend to let me know the time my car would be here on Monday. No one ever called me from BT Auto Transport. Like I said very bad first impression when I used them. Would not use again. Will shop around next time.
