I had been getting extremely frustrated with the messy car transporting industry, and I just had no idea who to trust anymore. I'm very picky about getting the best quality service for the best price. When Gilbert first called me, I almost hung up on him at first. But he was extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me a good price. After checking his reviews and background info, I decided to go ahead and trust him.
I'm really glad I did, as it's more like having a friend in the industry take care of things for you. The guy seemingly works all the time, and is always there to help, and does it for far less money than the other guys. He was very thorough about explaining how the shipping industry works, worked around a tight schedule to get the vehicle picked up from the seller, and my 'new' tiny little 1965 Datsun pick-up truck arrived in perfect shape. In the past, I've had shippers complain about my weird/old vehicles, and been unable to start my car due to ignoring my instructions on how to use a manual choke (they called it a 'trick'). But the driver that hauled my Datsun was delighted to have it aboard, and started it easily and delivered it just fine.
In the future, I'm going to recommend first calling Gilbert at Avenderle to anybody I know that needs to ship a car. Ignore all the hype and fancy websites at the larger shipping companies, where you might get lost in the system. Just get rid of the hassle, and let Gilbert take care of it for you.
