In November,2005 I purchased a 1965 Impala SS,and a LS6 454 BBC from Florence,AZ with 51K miles.I contacted Autocarry.com,and was given a quote of $1200.00,and,I was told I could pay them with Cash,Check,Money Orders,Visa,Mastercard,Discover,AMEX,and Paypal. The car was supposed to be picked up in Early November,2005.I called Autocarry several times and was told the car would be picked up as soon as they were in that area.OK,so far. When the car was finally picked up on Dec.5th,the seller's father called me to let me know it was picked up,and,he added that the driver was rude. This car was supposed to take approx.20 days in transit. On the afternoon of Dec.7,2005,I received a call from a woman who worked for Autocarry, telling me the car had arrived, and that the driver was complaining about the "trans".I told her the tranny was in the trunk,as it was a 4 speed, and what seemed to be the problem? She then changed the subject to how would I like to pay them.I asked her for thier Paypal info, and I was transferred to a guy,who told me they ONLY ACCEPTED CASH,even though thier Yellow Pages ad,and website say other! I told him I was going to need to transfer funds from my Paypal account to my bank, and he said to come and pay them after I had done that, and my car was SAFE in thier facility.A few days later,on Dec.16,2005,as I was passing through thier lot to check on making sure my car was OK,I discovered it's doors were open, and my 454 LS6 engine wasSTOLEN from my locked car! I called Autocarry on my cell,to inform them that my car was broken into, and my 454 was STOLEN,on thier property. They told me to call the Lodi,NJ Police, which I did.The Police told me that Autocarry had to make the report,as the car was in thier custody.Autocarry FAILED,or REFUSED to make this report, and accused me of taking my own engine to beat them for $1200! I was told I'd better come "People Strong" by Jean Benvenuto, the owner of Autocarry.Shortly, after this my title arrived in the mail,as it was sent seperate from the car, along with the 2 sets of Original GM Keys.I titled the car in NJ on Jan.5,2006.I was still in dispute with Autocarry, over the Theft of my 454,when,in Feb.,2006 the ENTIRE car disappeared! Autocarry refuses to answer my calls, and have since relocated to North Bergen,NJ.On Jan.14,2009,as I was scanning Craigslist North Jersey,I FOUND my 1965 Impala SS posted for sale,in Fair Lawn,NJ for $14,500.00! I immediately contacted Fair Lawn,NJ Police, and Lodi,NJ Police.I filed a formal complaint with lodi,NJ Police on Feb.5,2009.After almost 9 weeks of no action,I contacted The Bergen County,NJ Prosecutor's Office. On March 27,2009 I accompanied the Lodi,NJ Police to Fair Lawn,NJ on a parts buy,by the same individual, and gained access to the 1965 Impala SS,which was determined by VIN to be one and the same,as was STOLEN from Autocarry.com's lot!The car was in possession of a Paul J. Collura,Waldwick,NJ,who was the brother of slain Fair Lawn,NJ Police Officer Mary Ann Collura! Paul did NOT title car in his name.He had a NJ Title issued in the name of a Joseph Scaduto,East Brunswick,NJ.Scaduto claims to have purchased the car from a Speacialty Auto Marketplace,Baez,Alabame, which has been determined to be non-existant by the Alabama Attorney General's Office. They are a front for Broadway title Co.,which advertise in many publications.Cars before 1975 do nOT need titles in Alabama.TYhis case is pending in Bergen County,NJ for a Sept.15,2009 Court Date to determine rightful ownership.NJ MVC is restoring title back to my name prior to this.ALWAYS REGISTER AND TITLE VEHICLES BEFORE TRANSPORTING TO PREVENT WHAT I WENT THROUGH! Anthony.
