Finally got around to this review. I am writing this short review to let newbies know what thery are getting into; this is meant more of an overview of the industry, NOT a critique of AutoZipper.

Overall the experience was very positive. However, for "control freaks" you should realize that this whole auto shipping business is very "loose". You do NOT get a contract, a lot of hand holding, etc. In this case, I dealt directly with Brian and he very rapidly found a shipping company (ACE Auto Trans, Riverside, CA) to take the order. The pickup date was set about 5 days after we finalized the deal, and ACE showed up on the promised day and transported the car without inciident to Atlanta. My daughter had to pay ACE their portion of the fee ($750) with cash upon receipt, but that appears to be normal for the industry. The only formal paperwork I received was a "bill of lading", a one page "contract" for transportation completlely written to the advantage of the trasnporter. I still keep thinking about what I would have done if something went wrong. Not much. You are basically handing your car over to a company with a license to ship cars interstate, but not much else.

If I ever ship another car, I would first contact AutoZipper. However, I would probably ask more questions about the actual shipping company and the procedures to follow if something goes south.
