I researched several brokerage companies, shipping companies, and combination companies for the shipment of my car from the West to the East. I utilized two primary sources for my research - this website, www.transportreviews.com, and the Better Business Bureau website. I had a very poor experience shipping my car on the reverse route a few years ago, and debated whether to ship again or drive myself cross-country. I decided on the former, and am thankful I did. My cross-reference of AutoZippers (a brokerage company) between the two websites was great - I had not read a single negative review. Many of the reviews recommended speaking with Brian Cronin, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very prompt, courteous, and followed up after delivery of my car to Maryland to see how things went. This course of action appears to be the norm for Brian and the company. AutoZippers took a brokerage fee of $230, and the actual shipping company (Motion Express Inc., based out of Portland, OR) took $730. The total price was $960, which was ALL-INCLUSIVE!! Beware of other companies with lower quotes - they likely do not factor in the price of taxes, gas, etc. in their quotes, and there are often hidden fees. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Taking all quotes into account, AutoZippers was often the cheapest or second cheapest quote. The driver of Motion Express Inc. was Oleg - it was the first time AutoZippers used him, but he was quite reliable. I was given a pickup time of Fri or Sat. Oleg was there Fri at 6pm in Utah. The car was delivered in Maryland at 8pm in Maryland. 72 hours!! Incredible!! Fantastic experience. Highly recommend these companies/Brian/Oleg.
