SCAM ALERT!!!
On April 2nd I got an email and quote for $650 from Autostar to ship my car from Houston to Providence (1800+miles).
So I said ok, let's do this.
I email them, and Manny Vasquez emailed me back and we did the contracts and everything. I paid my deposit of $150. My pick up them initially was supposed to be 26th July 2017. And drop off to be 8/2/2017. (Which in the contract he put 8/22/2017). I've emailed him multiple time changing the delivery date, but it was hard to get in touch with him unless you call. He doesn't seem to response to email well.
Now, I understand they say they don't have drivers or trucks of their own. They also say that it all depends on the availability of drivers. So on July 11th I emailed them changing the date to be a day earlier. No response from him. I texted Manny, and he said ok we will see what we can do! 2 weeks, ample time to find drivers right? NO!
July 13th came, I texted Manny. I didn't like the fact that we have to call each other because I would not have it in record myself. I said I wanted the pickup date changed to July 25th. I said I will be leaving Houston on the 25th. Manny said yes, I have the proof of the text. Then in July 20th, I asked for status, no response. I texted again the next day, no response. Then I tried callin on July 22nd, no responses and went straight to voicemail. I left him a msg if he cannot find drivers, I will have to find someone else to do it.

July 24th, I got a voicemail back from his colleague, saying they are still looking into drivers.
July 25th - Manny called me and said where have you been? I've been trying to reach you! It went straight to voicemail! (I would have gotten it if he left me a voicemail just like his colleague sent me one) I told him it could be because the reception was very poor. Then he proceeded to tell me, the driver that was supposed to ship my car got into an accident! Now, I've got an offer from another driver, which is an upgrade, and it is well worth it! But you have to pay $200 more for the upgrade!
I'm sorry at this point, all I'm thinking about it is how fishy this sounds...

So to recap, I called in April to pay deposit to have my car shipped 7/26. I made some slight changes 2 weeks before the shipping date to a day earlier on 7/25. I admit, I said i want it shipped on 7/25. But they could have called and try asking me if they can ship it earlier.

I have proof that your staff put in the wrong date in the first place, even a manager agreed a wrong date was entered. I have a hard time communicating with him, I am struggling to talk to him, because of my work I cannot call, but he always insisted on calling. I have no proof if he we call, because you keep the records and can do whatever you want with it.

I have explicitly mentioned that I will be leaving town July 25th 2017. I told him I will be leaving town very early on (June2017) as well. But he knowingly took advantage of that fact, and not mention a single thing about this. I emailed him early on, my release date could be July 15th, but no, he didn't mention anything that the release date could be changed. He did not even asked, if they can take the car early. He is very incompetent on what he does. Then he went ahead and told me OH I'VE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU! NO HE DIDN'T because I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TEXT MSG or VOICEMAIL if CALLING DOES NOT WORK! So tell me again, how well is he doing?
