After buying a car online 1300 miles away from my remote mountain town, I wanted to find the right shipping company. The last time I did this, 8 years ago, it was not a good experience, as I had trusted the dealer to arrange it. It took almost a month to get my car, and it was damaged. The driver had no idea where my state was on a map, much less how to get to my little town.
Jerry at Auto Shipping TLC was very friendly and educated me on the things I did not know about this process and business. He encouraged me to call him anytime with questions. The price was not the lowest or highest that I'd been quoted, but the car got here quickly, and the driver even went out of his way to get closer to where I live 'because I sound like a nice person'....which of course I am. :)
It's worth an extra $200 (at least!) to know where your car is and trust that it will be taken care of and arrive on time. Mine arrived a day early, even with the driver going out of his way for me. I gave him some extra money for that and he questioned it. I made him take it. By the time we met him he had the car unloaded and ready to roll. It was a very positive experience.
I found Auto Shipping TLC to be the only auto shipping business that is a member of the Better Business Bureau. The others I are still stalking me with low ball prices. I'm blocking their numbers!
