Worst experience with a transport company in all my years in the car business

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a shipping company in my entire career in the car business. The agent was rude and could really care less about my company's or my customers needs and desires. When I called initially he gave me a quote of 1286 on the shipping of my vehicle to California. Fair price I thought. But this was after about five days of no contact with him, and normally I expect to be updated every couple of days of there is no progression on the shipping arrangements.At the very least to tell me they haven't forgot about our arrangement. When he finally did call me he said "hey I finally found that transporter for you, but he wants a little more money to do it, is that ok?" When I said no, because when I misquote someone I have to back up on my end and eat some profit. He responded "A quote is an estimate" and proceeded to hang up on me. I was pretty shocked. I was even more shocked when he called me back and told me that "he talked to his boss and his boss told him it was ok to do that". he should have had his boss call me, but im sure he didn't want to tell his boss how he acted towards me and have him call me because of it. However, that is not nearly as surprising as when I opened the email that he wanted me to give him a 5 star rating. That will never happen. He was lucky to get the one star. So coupled with that, the transport took MUCH longer than stated it would by the driver, and he broke down and I got to deal with a VERY unhappy customer who happens to be a friend of mine. Needless to say I will probably be looking elsewhere for shipping from here forward and I ship a lot of vehicles every year. I thought I would give this company a chance and I couldn't have been more wrong. I hope this helps you refine your process and staffing.

Thomas Elliott tom@autoshippinggroup.com call me for a solid quote call/text (360) 284-7185 i want to first say I'm sorry you feel your exp was a bad one was not my intention 2nd in this industry we give quotes which are a rough estimate on what the actual shipping cost will be, the asking price of the carrier went up i called and you expressed not being happy and i just went ahead and made it happen for the quoted price in hopes of you being a return customer the carrier him self was fantastic he not only kept in contact with me every step of the way but with customers too (which is rare) the vehicle was only 3 days late and with a major diesel truck breakdown that's great news again I'm sorry Craig i feel i went above and beyond on this order
