i booked my move to take my car from NY to WA, I booked on March 8 and set a price. my pick up dates April 1 to 7. This it turns out was also the time that the truckers went on strike and started to complain, so I am told about costs of gas/diesel.

my car was not picked up and on the 10th april I cancelled afer I did not wish my car sitting parked on the street in brooklyn. A friend is now going to drive my car across country to me, which is a big big favour.

auto shippers america have refused to even consider re-imbursing me for half of my deposti and are very happy to take my $195 for NOT moving my car. they only return you some money after 21 days, 3 weeks of your car waiting to be picked up. THEY offered me excuse after excuse why my car was not dispatched, the strike and gas costs are not my fault or the companies, but they under fair business practise should not take money from customers for not performiing a service at all. This is a SCAM. Any honest business would not want to make profits this way and any employee of this business would not want to take home pay that is robbed from customers this way.

This is nothing but robbery. They have refused to even consider refunding me any partial amount. I am sure that they dont move cars on a regular basis.

ASA offers different levels of service based upon cost & quickness of pick up. After being apprised of same, Ms. Henderson selected the least expensive level, good if you are not in a hurry. Her pick up dates were not guaranteed & if she was in a rush, she certainly could have selected a different level. ASA worked everyday towards dispatch & even added company funds twice on her behalf to secure a driver more quickley in attempt to accomodate her needs. She terminated her contract early, did not give it time to work. I take umbrage at her comments & would like to point out that in fact, ASA moves a large volume of vehicles on a regular basis.
