This all began when I talked with David Thomas on December 15, 2020 regarding a move from Salt Lake city to Denver. He gave me a quote but a few days later my plans had changed. I was no longer moving to Denver. When I talked with David I asked him what would happen if there was a change and he indicated that Authority would "take care of me". Well, that didn't seemed to happen. I called customer service twice to explain that I would not be moving to Denver and I would be putting my furniture in storage in SLC because I had sold my condo. Both times I was put on hold for at least 15 minutes and the person said their supervisor would take care of it. I never heard anything back either time. I called a third time and was put on hold even longer. Finally I was given the name of who was coming. I was putting my furniture in storage across the street from where I lived. They told me the charge would be $2500/ The original charge to Denver was $2800. I thought that was unfair but it was a few days from the move and I had to be out of my condo. The people who came to move me were not the same ones they had told me. They arrived at 4:15 pm and didn't finish until 10:00 pm. That was because they had to take the furniture to the storage three different time because they didn't have room in the truck for all of it. They knew how much stuff I had and I was confused why they didn't plan better. It was extremely frustrating. I also didn't have as many items as were on the original estimate because I gave away several items. No effort has been made to compensate me. I feel like I was treated unfairly and deserve some compensation.
