I was having My recently deceased mother's car transported from PA to CA. My mother's residence needed to be vacated by a certain date and if the car was not picked up be then, there was a possibility it may have to be picked up from another state. There was the probability that no one from the family or trusted friend could be at the point of origin to supervise the pickup. If fact there weren't save property management personnel. There were two delivery addresses depending on whether delivery was to be during the week or on the weekend. This all had to be done over the phone without meeting anyone in person including the driver until completion of the delivery. I was understandably nervous.

I took some time (within consideration) to decide on a company and expected a reasonable hike in the price from the original quote. The first company I chose did in fact raise their price by 100 dollars. Not a reasonable hike for me. Atlas Auto Shipping retained it's original quote and was able to accommodate all my actual needs and potential needs without variances in price. Patricia East and other staff were always helpful and friendly and consistently able to accept my calls and/or returned them promptly. I was very happy with the fact that the actual carrier used, Coastline Auto Transport was local to California. But for a telephone number snafu which was MY FAULT, I'm confident the car would have been picked up on it's original "tentative" Friday date rather than the immediate following Monday. The transport time was within the estimated 5-7 day period and but for the car looking like it had been on the back end of a truck for a trip that was virtually coast to coast (a little dirty with nothing in the contract saying that it wouldn't be), no damage was discernible. The end result proved to be very satisfactory.
