My Youngest Grandchild has always admired and wanted Grandpa's 2007 Nissan Frontier Pickup . So from the get go it was always promised to him. I wasn't planning on shipping the truck from Florida to California before he turned 15 and half in December but after getting a deal on another truck I decided to ship it early and surprise him.

After reviewing the many offers and quotes received , I was greatly impressed with the E-mail I received fromJoe Gallo at Assurance Auto Transport and His “Tips” to look for before picking a shipper. Some I had experienced already in picking a “ low priced “ shipper sending a car from Florida to North Carolina several years earlier .

After Receiving the Contract , signing it and returning it I was surprised myself to receive a call the very next day asking if the truck was available to be pick up earlier than the date I had selected.Considering it was sitting outside , no longer being garaged and the tag had been transferred to my new truck , I said sure.

It was picked up that evening in the rain and off it went. The journey west was to take 5 - 7 days which gave me time to over night the COD certified check to my son-in-law to give to the driver when the Nissan was delivered.I made him promise to keep the truck delivery a secret from the entire family and to get pictures of Zachary when it was off loaded at their home. I spoke to the driver a few days later and he had said that because of the flooding conditions in Louisiana he expected the trip to take a full 7 days which I relayed that information to Zachary's father. I received a TEXT from my son-in-law saying the driver had contacted him and the Truck was due to be delivered two days earlier than planed .

Zachary caught sight of the car carrier out front of their home around 9- 30 PM and was telling his dad about it being out there. Then when the two of them went out to look he made the mention about a Nissan Truck on top that looked just like Grandpa’s truck .His surprise came when the truck was backed down and off and placed in THEIR DRIVEWAY …I only wish I could have been there to see it . A boy and his first set of wheels is something never to be forgotten .

Thanks Joe Gallo for helping Grandpa keep his promise . And Thanks also to Adrian Vega driver for AVY Transport for taking great care of the Truck and getting it out to California early .
