Good morning to all honest individuals. I am leaving this review because of the horrible experience that I had with The around the globe auto transporter company. First let me start off with saying " DO NOT SEND/ PAY OR OTHERWISE PLACE A DEPOSIT WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE IT! I recommend a company named Eclipse Auto Transport because of their honesty an they require "NO DEPOSIT" for there services. I like to start off that I contacted this company (around the globe) for a quote on 10/27/09. I spoke with a jade parker who will make all kinds of promises about there services and promise to give you a $300 or $500 gas voucher for the use of there services. She quoted me a price of an enclosed trailer for $999.00 from Maryland to El Paso, Tx. Being that I have only used a auto transport service once, I believed all the promises that jade parker told me over the phone. She stated my truck would be pick up in less than 7-10 days. I filled the contract, paid my deposit of $190.00 on my credit card and sent it the next day (10/28/09) with a promise of a $500.00 gas card. The contract did state that the 1st available date for pickup would be 11/10/09. The date came around and I received no call from around the globe reference my vehicle. I then called them to find out the status of my pickup and a rep by the name of anna told me they were still trying to locate a driver for my truck, and to call back later. Later that date, I called back and was placed on hold for over 20 minutes and had to recall the number several times because they simple hung up the phone. Now, I started to get nervous about this company because of there horrible after service. The next day, this was a Wednesday 11/12/09. I again called several times, put on hold again for over 20 minutes and finally answered on the 7th recall by the rep anna who stated that they could not find a driver to deliver my vehicle. I explain to her "why would you set a pick up date and still have problems 14 days from the original contract date in locating a driver". She stated she was waiting for a driver to submit his insurance papers and it would take a couple of hrs. At this time, I decided to contact another auto transporter. I found this website (transporter review) I began to investigate around the globe and to my dismay I found nothing but horrible experiences from other customers. I saw that they shared that same exact lies, false promises and crappy service from this company. I finally found a true 5 star company, ECLIPSE AUTO TRANSPORT, and spoke with a rep by the name of Joni, who explain how these for no-good transportation companies work. She was very honest, helpful, and explained that this company offers you a low price knowing that they will not be able to fullfill the quote and then ask for additional money to move your vehicle. She told me that her company does not require a deposit and only payment until your vehicle reaches their perspective destination. After speaking with Joni, I called around the globe several times 15 to be exact, and they would not answer my calls. This was on a Thursday 11/12/09. I attempted to call them the same night where I did make contact and spoke with a night supervisor by the name of Julie. I told her that I wanted to cancel my contract and wanted my full deposit of $190.00 credited to my credit card. She became angry and told be that they have 10 days to located a driver for my vehicle. I then requested to speak to jade parker who I first spoke with to set up the contract and the supervisor stated "she was to busy and that she would handle this situation". Julie then advised to call her back on monday 11/16/09 and they would PROBABLY have a driver for my vehicle. Monday came and I received a call about 10:00 am from anna who told me that they found an open-carrier for my vehicle. I told her my contract stated for a enclosed carrier for that price and refused the open carrier. After that particular conversation, I never received a call from around the globe nor any type of apology from them. Now 11/20/09, 10 days from my agreed pickup date and have attempted repeatedly to make contact with around the globe to no avail. I guess that they have my area code and telephone number set on there system to avoid any of my calls. Because the way the handle this situation with me and there horrible customer service and am in the process of filing a complaint to my credit card, a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Attorney General Offices in Florida. This company operates from Coconut Grove in Florida. Please after reading my experience with this company I would like all others who have shared the same HORRIBLE LIES, CORRUPT METHODS OF BUSINESS ETHICS, FALSE PROMISES and not to mention the DISHONESTY of this company and would like to make contact with you so we can fight to close this business down. I also believe that the power of press would help our cause. With enough complaints that I saw on this review not to mention the ones not posted by other angry individuals, I believe we can make contact with TV shows like 20/20 and 60 minutes to look into our complaints against this company. The power of the press is very mighty!!!!
