My son was moving to college in Florida. Since his car is a 1999 with over 100,000 mikes we decided to ship instead of drive. I went on a web site called uship . It gives you quotes and you choose your transporter. Apple was the most reasonable at the time. The web site and also Carrie said 5-7 days. I even had it picked up earlier than I thought was necessary as a precaution and we had family in Florida who could receive the car. The car left RI on August 20 at around 6P. It left on a smaller truck to go to CT. Where it was put on the big truck. On Friday the 27th August I called to check and was told by Carrie that it would be Saturday. But no car arrived on Saturday. On Sunday I called the number on web about 20 times. On one the mailbox was full and would not receive messages. The other number was out of service. I sent email Sunday night and Carrie said she was not near her phone. Keep in mind the website says 24/7 service . That was the first lie. My son had put most of his clothess in the car. Since he did not have the required clothes to start he has to go buy dress pants, shirt tie and also get a ride to the store. On Monday (day11) I staarted getting very very mad and had words with Carrie. I asked to speak to the other family member since the web site said it was a family owned business. She insisted she was the manager and that it was c corporation. (another lie).Monday my son had to go buy more clothes for Tuesday. Tuesday is day 12 of the delivery. I got Carrie on phone and my anger at her and the whole situation came out. I also told her I would be getting a lawyer to help us to get reimbursed for all the stuff my son had to get. Somewhere in that conversation she kept tellin me I didnt understand. Apparently when the truck heads out any callls along the way they stop and pick up cars, During the course of those days he was supposedly in Naples, Port Charlotte., Clearwater, Palm Beach, mostly andy city but Orlando. ALso I was told my sons car was on top part right over drivers side and would take him 3 hours to unload cars to get to my sons. This was when we said he would drive to Tampa to get it. Long story short I would rather push a car to Florida than deal with that Company ever again. I would not recommend them ever unless you like being constantly lied to. When he comes home it will be the Auto Train.
STAY AWAY from this company!!!
