I contacted Angels Moving Autos after getting over a dozen quotes from many "brokers". I found that the broker gets a fee, then posts a dollar amount they think a carrier will pick up and deliver the vehicle for. I also found that if it does not get picked up by a carrier then they may increase the fee the carrier will get. I read dozens of reviews, and looked at dozens of "brokers", many of which had only been in the business for a few months.

I chose AMA because they had been in business almost 8 years and had lots of good reviews. All of the negative reviews had to do with the carrier not them. I found Megan and Dina to be honest, upfront and spot on what they told me. My situation I found strange because we got a call that they had a carrier in the area that had a cancelation. They asked if they could pick up the car within 2 hours. Fortunately that worked out. The carrier had a pick up truck and single car open trailer. I just assumed they were taking my new car to a larger distibution area but the guy who picked it up delivered the car (over 900 miles in less than 24 hours). The communication with the carrier fell short but when I explained this to Megan she got on it and communication improved drastically. The driver's english was hard to understand on the phone so that contributed to the problem. However the driver was very careful and took very good care of the car, was much easier to talk to in person than on the phone and was also very courteous. My new M3 was delivered exactly when he said he would arrive, in great condition. He was especially carefull driving it off the trailer.

Gas prices shot up over .30 from the time I got the quote to the time the car was deliverd. I have no idea how they made money because more than half of the fee the carrier got was consumed in fuel costs. They did not have any economy of scale, meaning no other vehicles to pick up or deliver in the area. The driver must have made less than ten bucks an hour.

I would recommend Angels Moving Autos, and I would use them again. They were slightly higher than the lowest bids I got, but lower than most of them. They did what they said they would do and communicated with me every step of the way. Other "brokers" hounded me for days to get my business.

At the end of this review, it asks if you are expected to be compensated to submit a review. I suspect many of the "brokers" get postive reviews because they pay for them, with that said I am not getting compensated for this review.
