I was not told prior to moving across the country that i could not have anything in the back of my car. So, I had some clothes and a vacuum, and some misc things to be transported in my car. The morning of the scheduled pick-up the driver calls me and says "I can't pick up your car because you have things in it." Ummm. What was I supposed to say to that? NO ONE told me about this policy, which is very important, obviously. There was nothing I could do about it after moving. So, his manager called me and was very, very rude, and hung up on me, though he claims he did not. He did. He said that i should have been told about the policy. What good does that do me. So I said I didn't care that someone should have told me - the situation was that no onw did tell me. And his response was "don't say you don't care." Seriously? This is how you speak to a customer following the company's mistake? Ridiculous. Eventually they ended up charging me an extra $150 to ship my car, which I swallowed given I needed my car to get to me, but if I really had the energy I would totally push back now that I do have my car. I just don't have the time. Overall, I feel like I paid for a mistake that was not my own, and the way it was handled lacked any sort of courtesy or quality customer service whatsoever.
