I did NOT have a good experience with Angels!

I got an online quote from Angels to move my car for $475. When I contacted them to book the transport, I was told that this was just an estimate, and that since the route my car needed to travel was not common, I would have to pay $600. I agreed, and signed a contract for $600. Two weeks later, I was called on 4/20 and informed they had booked my transport to be picked up on 4/24 and delivered by 4/27. They mentioned no increase in price at that time.

On 4/23 (the day before transport was to take place), I was called and informed that the trucker now wanted an extra $150 to bring the total to $750. I was told that Angels 'forgot' to tell me this on 4/20 when they called to tell me the transport was booked. I refused to pay this extra cost and requested that Angels reduce their booking fee by $100 to account for their mistake; and still ship the car on 4/24. Instead of doing this, they tried to get the truck driver to take a lower offer, which he refused. On top of that, I contacted the person whom I was buying the car from, and he was never even contacted by Angels or their driver to arrange a pickup time. There was no way my vehicle could have been transported on the dates they scheduled even if I was willing to pay the extra fee.

At this point I was very frustrated after waiting for answers and two price increases, so I called Angels to cancel my order. The person whom I had been dealing with was not available, so I had to start from scratch with a new agent from Angels. This person was very rude and ended up hanging up the phone on me. She would not listen to my full story and told me that any cancellations would be charged a $200 fee. Their contract states:

"If you place an order with us, you have the option to cancel any time prior to your vehicle being assigned to a transporter you will be charged a $50.00 administration fee, the remainder of your scheduling fee will be refunded."

My point is that my transport was never scheduled at the price I contracted with them, and I am not liable for a $200 booking fee. I was told that the agents at Angels are not authorized to reverse credit card charges, and that my problem would be turned over to their 'claims department', of which I was not allowed to speak to; and it could take 30 days for them to review.

I am very unsatisified with Angels and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
