I have decided to right my review on this company now due to my experience that has not been five stars for me at all so far. Note this is my very first time ever transporting a vehicle. I recently purchased a conversion van with a high top with top clearance around 7 ½ feet tall. This van is in PA so I needed a transporter to get my vehicle to me in California once it was paid for. I had a horrible experience with the first company I called as they under quoted me resulting in no one to pick the van up. I was able to cancel service with them luckily they had not charged my CC for a deposit.
After a little more research and a referral I located Angels Moving Autos. I saw they were Number 4 or so in the top company’s on this site and I didn’t see even one bad review! Well, I saw a couple that really didn’t make since to me from a reasonable customers point of view with an understanding that no business is perfect. But still from what I could see, this was a much more reliable company that has customers that have used them several times with great success. So I called on the 17th or 18th of December and spoke to I think Sarah first who again under quoted me because she didn’t understand the dimensions of the van as I was describing to her. So I was then put on the phone with another woman (not sure if it was Emily or not) she was able to better understand the size of the van and gave me another quote. The scheduled pick up date was last week on the 28th of December and delivery was for the 8th of January. I was told the trip would take about 5 days so the van would be in Los Angeles on the 4th of January but I would not yet have all the money to pay the carrier COD if the van was to get here on the 4th so Angels agreed to hold the van for me at their terminal until the 8th for delivery with no extra charge after everything was scheduled I was able to update Angels and let them know I had all funds ready to receive the van on the 4th once it got to LA.
While we were going over the costs I was a little unsure of agreeing to pay $1400 for this but then Dina (the owner) gets on the line and really explained to me why this was costing so much and further explained to me the kind of Carrier I needed which was a FLAT BED carrier because of the height of the van. This carrier would have only 2 or 3 cars on at a time at most during a cross county transport this was explaining the cost to me where I understood a lot better.
Dina said she already had a carrier available to assign to the transport at the time so I agreed to go ahead with. They charged my CC and the 28th came and no carrier called for pick up I guess they were slowed by the snow on the ground. The carrier ended up coming the next morning to pick up and immediately upon showing up, the person I purchased the vehicle from knew the van was not going to fit! Why? Well because this carrier had a REGULAR TRUCK NOT A FLAT BED! He told the carrier the van would not fit because the trucks incline was too steep for that size van. They insisted it would fit and proceeded to load the van and upon attempt, they SNAPPED THE VANS BUMPER OFF! The carrier ended up signing the bill of lading and leaving the van there as they realized they couldn’t do the transport..
It is now January 6th and I have had to call the angles several times for at least an update on my transport situation and nothing! I have called Emily on two occasions now and she has not returned any calls. So I have decided to write my review now because it is now more than 7 business days from my scheduled pick up day on the 28th and even tho the angels #1 says right hear at the top of this page that they give either a 1 to 3 or 1 to 5 day window the only thing I have is a damaged vehicle and a $225 dollar dent in my wallet for deposit on Nothing! And Emily has expressed to me she has no clue as to when I can get even another carrier to pick up my van!
I just got off the phone with Sarah and she stated Emily called and left message to let me know I now need an enclosed transport due to the ground effects on the vehicle. I really wanted to bragg about how great this company is just like the other reviews on this site but I can’t at all say I would even give this experience 1 Star!!

In response to Quincy Miller's review. Quincy is a very nice man who is upset due to his vehicle being damaged at the time the carrier went to load the vehicle. When Quincy placed his order with our office he did not give us the proper information about the special effects kit on the van, the carrier sent out was a regular car hauler. The seller of the vehicle asked the driver to try and load it even though the driver told him he was afraid it could scrape the ground kit. The driver attempted to load the vehicle, and the kit was scratched and torn. The driver is paying for the damages which came to a total of $355.00. Our office has done everything we can to assist Quincy Miller, including returning all of his calls. He failed to report in this review that he had the order placed with another company for over 3 weeks and they never had it picked up, and we had a carrier for him immediately. Unfortunately the vehicle was damaged, however, the claims process is under way and Emily is assisting with the matter. It does us no good to speak with Mr. Miller 10 times a day, we need to be able to get the process handled through the insurance company.
