Angels Moving Autos subcontracted with Patriot Auto Transport of 4 Waterview Circle in Litchfield, NH (http://www.nymoneystore.com/) to transport our car from Minnesota to Massachusetts with the below results. Angels did not offer any support (financial) to repair the car or to file a claim of any kind. They basically said, sorry, that's too bad and even though the damage to the car was not indicated on the pickup inspection form there was nothing we (or they) could do about it. Angels SHOULD NOT EVER USE THESE IDIOTS AGAIN TO MOVE ANYTHING and if you expect any support from Angels after they contract with a carrier that damages your car you can forget that as well. Buyer BEWARE and be prepared for intimidation and liars in this business. Good luck.

Below is what Patriot did to our car and then covered it up:

This company was subcontracted by Angels Moving Autos in California who was the contracted mover. When our car ('93 VW Corrado) was picked up in Minnesota the driver (Ken) was shown by the person we bought the car from how to open the hood with the normal hood release in the car. They opened the hood to disconnect the battery so it would not drain during transport. The car was switched to a local guy (Peter, the owner of Patriot Auto Transport) somewhere in the local area. In the process of switching the car to the local trailer the idiots broke the hood release cable (note the Corrado has a DUAL hood release) so now the car was stuck on the truck with no hood release, battery disconnected and the car needed to be moved off. The buffoons then went about prying open the hood with force (rather than removing the front grill and manually popping the hood releases), causing physical damage (bending and a kink) in the hood. While they were clearly struggling with this the driver's side door was swung wide open and struck a support post of the truck damaging the driver's side door edge. None of this was disclosed to us, the car was delivered in the dark (hmm, wonder why) in a remote parking lot. We noticed the hood release was broken because Peter (the owner) was trying to cover up the damage any lying to us about what took place. We refused to pay the full amount of the car delivery and withheld $100 for the cable. It was not until we got the car home and inspected the hood (which is now crimped and does not fit correctly) and the door damage. They deny any of these damages and are unwilling to pay for it or file a claim on their insurance for their own stupidity. I spoke with the person we bought the car from and he indicated there were no issues with the hood or the driver's door when the car was picked up and these defects were not indicated on the vehicle inspection form. These guys are idiots, they do not know how to handle cars in any way and when they screw things up they are experts at hiding their mistakes and screwing the customer over. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING!! THEY WILL SCREW IT UP AND YOU WILL PAY FOR IT. If you are ever asked to take delivery in the DARK in a REMOTE parking lot DO NOT DO IT! Carefully inspect every inch of your car upon delivery and do not accept any damage that is not recorded upon pickup.

To consumers: First, we have used Patriot Auto Transport for 6 years, all feedback from customers has always been very positive. As soon as this customer reported damage to our office, we began investigating the matter, made several calls to the driver and did everything in our power to make sure that our customer was treated fairly. While the matter was not settled to his satisfaction due to reasons stated below, we did make significant effort on his behalf with the intention to ensure that he received any fair reimbursement possible. Unfortunately for us this customer has posted a review that is true to him, however, his statement of facts do not match our records. The customer and I both know that there was no damage listed on his bill of lading because there was no damage on the vehicle that was not listed at the time of pick up. Below is the response from our driver regarding this claim made by the customer: When I delivered the car the customer started out by telling me he is not going to pay the full $ 750 for the transport, he claimed the driver that picked up the car (Ken) told him the car would be delivered on a certain date. As you and I both know in this business we do not tell the customer a particular time. We tell them a time frame and will call the customer when we get close. After spending approximately 15-20 minutes arguing with the customer about payment vs. reloading the car on my truck for nonpayment the result was that he only paid $650 because he said he had to take a day off from work to receive the car. As far as the hood is concerned I did not have problems opening the hood, I had problems closing the hood after I reconnected the battery due to a sticky cable. We do not pry on hoods to get them open, and we do not write up inspection reports for mechanical defects, only for visible body damage (not under hoods). At pick up the seller of the car mentioned about the hood cable and instructed (Ken) the driver that he had to pull the hood release cable go outside push on the hood and then lift it up in order for it to open. This car is 15 years old, chances are that it is going to have mechanical defects and this is one of them. The car was picked up in the dark so if the hood was shifted over a little the driver doing the inspection would not have noticed it. This customer did a thorough inspection with of the car at delivery that took approximately 15-20 minutes using my flashlight. He willingly signed the condition report and I have determined that his requests are unjustified and unethical. Peter Faulring General Manager Patriot Auto Transport
