I chose Angel's Transport because of the numerous glowing reviews on this site. I will agree that every person we spoke with at Angels was courteous and always returned phone calls. The part I was not so happy with was the fact that it took 3 1/2 weeks to get our Suburban picked up! The first truck that was scheduled apparently "broke" on its way to get our truck. We called Angels almost every day and always got the same response, "We working on getting a company for your vehicle." By this time, we were all in CA already and had to leave the job of transport to a friend of ours...not something any of us wanted to do. I finally started calling other brokers and was told by another broker that our original quote of $1290 (which was $1100 to the driver, $190 to Angels) was probably not enough money (i.e. not enough incentive for a driver to pick up such a big vehicle). So, we called Angels back and offered another $200 to the driver, just to get the darn thing moving. We were totally desperate by this point, and paying rental car fees in CA, waiting for our truck to arrive! FINALLY, Fortner Transportation picked it up and did a GREAT job. It arrived ahead of schedule, without any damage whatsoever.

So, my advice is that although Angels may provide a very competitive quote, be wary of not paying ENOUGH, if time is of the essence, especially with a large vehicle like a Surburban, which apparently takes up double the space on a transporter. To their credit, it was around Thanksgiving/Christmas, and it may be harder to get drivers, but I would have liked THEM to tell me that maybe we needed to increase our price to get the job done. We could have saved 2 weeks worth of car rental charged, which amounted to almost $500 in and of itself.
