Increased price substantially without notice

Two weeks ago, we scheduled a move with Angels Moving Autos. We used to online system that was linked to the quote email we received from the company. This online system required all information regarding the car and our credit card information. After not hearing anything from this company and our move quickly approaching, we called the toll-free number today to ensure all would go smoothly. It's a good thing we called because the operator informed us that instead of paying $660, we would have to pay $935! We received no email regarding this change, nor did anyone call to see if the increase in price was acceptable. When we informed the operator this was not acceptable, she replied by saying that we shouldn't have been allowed to use the online system anyway and that the quotes provided are not promised to be accurate. If they did not want customers using the online booking system, they should not provide a link to it in their emailed quotes. While it is understandable that a quote is just that and therefore not completely accurate, it is not understandable how they felt they could charge us so much more without even telling us. Thankfully, we were able to cancel our order but now with less than a week to go, we are forced to find a new, honest company.

To whom it may concern: Jennifer was never a customer of Angels Moving Autos. She received an online quote, placed on online order, however we did not complete her order in our office because the quoted price would not be enough to move the vehicle. We cancelled the order because the customer did not want to pay the correct amount to ship the vehicle. Our online quote clearly states you must call and speak to us to verify accurate pricing.
