2006 Corvette Move To Palm Springs, CA

Last year (2011) I shipped my pristine condition 2006 Corvette Convertible from Palm Springs home to Tacoma, WA in April via enclosed carrier for $1100. This winter I decided to ship it back to Palm Springs for my time there in the winter via open carrier, top rack, to save money. I expected the car to get dirty but I can easily wash and detail it; my main concern was other damage from a carrier that wasn't careful with it. I did a web search for shippers and got the horde of e-mail responses, mostly from Florida brokers. I got a few from west coast brokers. I reviewed the ratings on all the shippers from this website and found that Angels and another west coast broker had 5-star ratings so I called and talked to them. Meghan and Dina immediately sent up the caution flag on shipping the Corvette open carrier and the issues they have had with damage to Corvettes because of the 3.75" of clearance, and the issues with drivers and carriers that didn't care. They talked to carriers they have used in the past to ship these cars with no issues, and the drivers, plus some others who they did not know. Through their interview process they found a carrier and a driver they knew had the experience and reputation for shipping these cars. Then they let me talk to the driver to make sure I was comfortable with his experience. They bird-dogged this order and shipment every day, and made sure it picked up on the first day of my open shipping window and delivered to the correct receiving party, even though I was not there to pick it up by the time it arrived.

I can't say enough about how familiar they were with shipping this type of specialty car, how concerned they were for keeping it in great condition, and how much time they spent with the carrier, driver, and me on it. I will go back to them when I need to ship again. They act like they are not brokers, but like they own the shipping company. An especially great job given this order was put together the week before Christmas and shipped the week between Christmas and New Years !!!!!!!!!!!
