On the company’s website, it explains that an amethyst is a gem known for “its protection and purification powers as well as creating a resonant shield for those who use it.” Talk about truth in advertising. This description speaks volumes. I felt completely protected, purified and shielded in the resonance of Amethyst Auto Transport when shipping my mother’s 2013 Toyota Prius from her former home in Boynton Beach, Fla., to mine in Portland, Ore. The key to success was working with Lilly, who as it also says on the website strives for “a more personable, transparent, and effective experience.” She was the THIRD broker I contacted over the course of a month in planning this cross-country journey. The first two turned out to be crooks. One literally ghosted me when I tried to confirm a time and day for the pickup. The other had 11 Better Business Bureau gripes, three one-star reviews on Yelp (the only ones that even appeared) and other complaints on an industry website of reviews. I didn’t even bother to thread the needle with this guy. But Lilly was beyond fabulous. She’s an honest woman in a dishonest man’s business, which must be challenging, draining and discouraging. She’s also highly professional and personable. Lilly helped educate me about the nature of this business, which is that nearly every time and service commitment is tentative and subject to constant change. Still, she landed me a driver who was on time for the pickup and on time for the drop off. I cannot thank her enough, nor can I recommend anyone else. Go with Lilly at Amethyst Auto Transport. You’ll find that she’s a real gem to work with and just plain know!
