I placed an order with American Transport Depot aka Adam over a week ago. He asked me to send him a signed agreement and pay a 125 deposit (check by phone) his quote to move my car was 870 and as I am short on funds and he was the low cost provider I chose to accept his offer. He assured me that most people are very satisfied with his economy service and that he would post my order that day. He said to call with any questions and assured that he would work with me to make sure I was a satisfied customer. After sending the signed contract he confirmed he received it after 2 requests. Then almost a week went by and I had not heard anything so I contacted him for an update on when I could expect my vehicle to be picked up. no response. 2 days later I attemped to call him and e mail him again. saying I needed confirmation that he was still moving my vehicle and if he was no longer able to do so that i would need a refund of my deposit. no response. several days later I was contacted my a driver with Contiental auto movers claiming he was contacted by a1 logistics to move my vehicle and that he was in the area. He had all of my information. He said he does not deal with brokers and wanted to cut adam out of the deal, claiming that brokers scam people and take un needed money. this is after I already paid a deposit. He also claimed to have a four star rating. I looked up contiental and they have a BBB rating of F with 56 negative complaints. I then contacted adam via email explaining what had happened and that I was concerned. I also said I needed confirmation with in the next two days that he was going to move my vehicle or I would require a refund. I got a response asking for me to pay my deposit again! I had confirmed with my bank that he had already withdrawn the 125 deposit from my account. I responded confirming that he has already taken my deposit as both he and my bank confirmed. I also stated that I needed to hear from him within 2 days or I would require a refund and take my business elsewhere. so far no response. Also, every other broker I have contacted claims that it would be impossible to move my vehicle for the quote Adam gave. I plan on filing a fraud report with my bank and the local authorities if I do not get this resloved in the next day. Going by the other reviews left here, I am doubtful. My advice throughly check out any company before you give them any money. I wish I did. Its wrong that he is praying on people who dont have money and cant afford to loose 125. I hope this helps save someone from the same fate. FYI AAA auto movers have a very strong BBB rating and reasonable pricing.
