As a novice to the Transport industry, I didn't know what to expect as far as service. After posting post request, I was bombarded with e-mails and phone calls from various transport services. American Direct gave me the most economical, mentioned that they transport vehicles for the military and assured me that their service was bar none above the rest. I chose them for those reasons alone. After paying an $150 deposit I waas told that I would be promptly contacted for a pick up date. Two days later another company rep contacted me to confirm my requested pick up date and told me I would be notified of the exact time the following day, two days before my requested pick up date. To my surprise, I was never contacted from anyone after that call. On the pick up date, I contacted Amaerican Direct four times to no avail. Twice I received a voicemail, and twice I was assured by the AD employee that I would receive a phone call from Candice regarding my pick up.
I have not heard form anyone at AD to date. This apparent lack of customer service is appalling and alarming. Given the poor communication and run a round I received from these scammer, I would absolutely not allow them to be in the care of my vehicle. There is no excuse for the conduct of the employees. To add insult to injury, American Direct's deposit clause states that they keep $90 of the deposit if you cancel. This fee is for inconveniencing me who rearranged my entire work schedule to be available for the pick up on the scheduled date.
American Direct displayed the very attitude that supports the incredibly bad reputation that the Trasport industry has. I cancelled via e-mail per their cancellation clause, and I still have not been contacted by a representative.
I wil lbe more than happy to address this matter legally if this same didregard persists in regards to my deposit refund.
