Negligent selection of transporter

I needed to get my elderly parents moved to Hawaii
with us. They wanted to take their vehicle, so I
contacted this company and obtained a quote which was
acceptable. The transport company they selected had a very poor
safety record which concerned me. Where a low number
indicates safety, the driver had a 95.8 and a moving
violation indicator number of 99.7 Here is what they
boast of on their web site:

"All America's frequent auto transport schedules mean
a minimum of waiting time for you. We have a fleet of
over 500 car carrier trucks available - just like the
ones used to deliver new cars to dealers. This allows
us to always meet your schedule. Each truck is fully
covered by public liability, property damage and cargo
insurance. And of course, your owner's insurance also
remains in effect throughout the shipping process."

They scheduled the transport company which was, A
Unique Transport. I did not know this until
afterwards that they would use this company. What I
found out was astonishing concerning their selection
of this transport company. What follows is based on
information from the online records of the Federal
Motor Carrier Safety Administration a division of the
U.S. Department of Transportation. As a consumer I
would not have independent knowledge of these details.
If the facts are incorrect, I feel that it is the
company's responsibility to keep the Federal
authorities who review this information updated and
corrected.
Records indicate that there is one truck and one
driver at A Unique Transport which explains the rest
of this info. Six (6) moving violations in 2007,
including 3 for speeding, 1 for failure to yield, and
2 for failure to obey traffic control device.
Multiple citations for false or non-existent driver's
logs required to be kept.
As a result the company truck has been singled out for
for a safety inspection based on the public records
maintained. This was issued in December, 2007 and has
not yet been satisfied.

A All American Auto Transport customer service rep.
just keeps saying they are insured, they are insured.
As if, that would ever be satisfactory to being
without the vehicle or a replacement cost for untold
months.
