A Pretty Good Experience

On short notice, I had to have my daughter's 2002 Honda Civic transported from NY to California. I had a narrow delivery window as I was staying in a hotel in Los Angeles for six days apartment hunting with my daughter. The car had to be delivered to the hotel XXXthere was no alternate address XXXso it couldn't arrive too early or too late. Ambela picked up a day later than originally planned; I was told the driver would be here between 3 and 6pm, and he eventually turned up at 10:30pm. However, he seemed to be a very decent guy.

The delivery went very well...the car arrived on the third day of my stay in LA, and was exactly as it was when it was picked up. We had packed some belongings in it XXXbedding, a printer, some books, dishes etc. --nothing irreplaceable. It was all there. I had been given the name of the California manager XXXGary XXXwho was very responsive when I called him. He in turn gave me the driver's cell phone number and I spoke with him directly.

I was assigned to Ambela though Nationwide Auto Transporters, and when I read the reviews here, I was very unnerved. However, there was no time to do more research and switch carriers. Nationwide was competitive in pricing, and extremely helpful. All in all, this was a good experience. I've heard some horror stories... and am just thankful this all went so smoothly.
