STAY AWAY FROM AMBELA!!

This was the company contracted out by Montway Auto Transport to transport my 2008 BMW M3 and 2005 Yamaha R6 motorcycle. Both were immaculate, as I take care of my vehicles. Not a single door ding, rock chip or scratch. This was documented fully by the Ambela driver.

The car arrived 2 days late, which forced me to take off of work. They initially promised a call ~2 hours prior to delivery. They called me 20 minutes prior and said that if I was not there, I could be assessed an additional charge. I was over 1 hour away.

The car/motorcycle arrived quite dirty, which is understandable since I opted for an open transport. However, upon cleaning it up, there was significant damage. Large scratches/scuffs where the tow straps dug into the front bumper. Large scuff marks on the rear bumper where they obviously had another car pushing against it for some amount of time. Multiple dimples in the hood and other parts of the body.

As for the motorcycle, the person who picked it up had ZERO idea how to secure a motorcycle. I have it all caught on video as well. They compressed the forks beyond what was necessary and upon pickup, the forks were totally dead. They would not decompress/compress. They had to be serviced on my dime. The kicker? THE BIKE ARRIVED WITHOUT A KEY! They lost it! I had to wait another 4 days for them to find it and mail it to me.

Ambela was NOT RESPONSIVE to my calls or emails. In the beginning they would answer emails/calls, but as soon as they determined that they were at fault and would have to pay up, they stopped answering. I have filed a BBB claim with them, and now my insurance is chasing after them to recoup the damage. Luckily I only have a $300 comprehensive deductible and my rates do not increase.

It appears that Ambela is getting similar reviews here with their low ratings, and I'm not surprised.

STAY AWAY FROM AMBELA! I have already informed one of their primary transport brokers (Montway Auto Transport) to not use them anymore, and as far as I know they have done so.
