Poor, poor, and maybe even scary

I was connected to Ambela through DASH Auto Movers Network. I scheduled a pickup window and the truck was picked up at the tail end of it, and it worked out pretty well. The plan was to drop off the vehicle in Plattsburgh, New York at a location agreed upon by cell phone on the delivery day. Everything seemed to be going okay.

I keep calling them and they say they'll call me back, and they never do. It had been about 2 weeks by this point, I am finally told that I could expect the vehicle in Plattsburgh by 12 Noon on the 16th of May. I drive to Plattsburgh to meet them at this time. It doesn't arrive. I call again and they promise 2:00PM. It's 2:15PM and I call them again, and can't get through! I keep trying and eventually get a person. Now they tell me that they are 6 hours away! Apparently, I had given them the wrong zip code (which I don't know how that's possible because I didn't even give a zip code). It's not my problem that Ambela doesn't know the geography of their backyard (they do business out of PA). Not only this, but they want $300 dollars more to ship it to where I am (Plattsburgh) even though this was always the destination. I spoke to the owner, Yefim Slutsky, and he threatens to SHIP THE VEHICLE BACK TO CALIFORNIA! Unbelievable. I doubt that he would have done this, as it doesn't make much economic sense, but what am I to do? The truck is already across the country and I drove across the US-Canada border into New York just to pick up my truck. So I caved and said I would pay the money.

Finally, a tow truck shows up at 11PM (11 hours after promised), and my truck is there. I pay the driver and its almost the end of the story.

Eventually what I had to do was get DASH Auto Movers to refund me the $300 that Ambela EXTORTED out of me, and they did refund.

The only positive thing I can say is that the truck had absolutely no damage, they seemed to have taken good care of it.

On a scarier note, I did some research on Yefim Slutskly of Pennsylvania and came up with some Russion mob information. I don't know if this is the same guy, but all of Ambela's employees, including Yefim spoke with an Eastern European/Russian accent.
