This is the first time that I have transported an auto at all. I bought a Porsche 911 C4S in Minnesota from Audi-Porsche. I contacted Alpine Transport on the recommendation of the dealership. This was the first time I have purchased a car out of state, much less off the internet. I was quite dubious. I was put in contact with Dave Fountain and I found him to be very responsive. He answered all of my questions and kept me informed every step of the way. This was my dream car and I did not want anything to happen to it. The car was picked up at the dealership on time and I was notified that she was loaded and on her way. The next day I was kept informed of the progress by Katie the dispatcher. The transport arrived 45 minutes ahead of schedule. It took them two days to travel 987 miles, that's pretty good in my book. Nathan the driver unloaded the Porsche with great care. One of the problems with transporting a 911 is the ground clearance, 3 inches max by the front air dam. The only complaint that I have and it is minor is that the car was dusty. If I would have known that I would have purchased a car cover from the dealership. In all reality I really didn't mind, it was fun to give her a wash. When I spoke to my salesman, Darren at the dealership about the dust, he did mention that was very common. Again, a very minor note. I would not hesitate to use this firm again. The charge was $1,200 and the other quotes from some other firms was between $1,600 and $1,800. I give Alpine a 10 out of 10.
