After shopping around i originally tried a different company who quoted me a lower price to transport my recently purchased car. The other company was highly rated on this website and i figured they are all brokers anyway, so I'd go with the cheapest. The other company told me i should expect a callback within a week. When i hadn't heard back in 10 days, i called myself and was told that perhaps they had low bid me and that i could try adding another $50 to the quote to see if we got any takers at a higher price. I agreed, and though i never heard back from the broker, a driver from a trucking company I'd never heard of called my seller on a Saturday morning without any warning saying they were on the way to her house. After she told the driver she wasn't currently home and couldn't make it back right away, she received a return call from the dispatcher who berated her for not being ready - even though no one had told us that they were coming! Nor could i get anyone from the broker on the phone! Anyway, come the next morning, I pulled the order from the first company (who barely even offered an apology) and called Alpine. Nick found the quote i had been given two weeks prior, gave me a 12 day window for delivery, and said that they personally would handle all of the coordination with the trucking company and the seller. It couldn't have gone smoother. The seller was contacted twice by Alpine over the next three days to coordinate schedules, the driver was courteous and helpful, and the car was delivered to my door within 7 days of my call to Nick. Would definitely use Alpine again, especially now knowing how difficult it was to deal with the other company.
