Allied gave me a quote (and listed the car for pick-up at $200 more than the quote), even though I never signed an agreement with them and have a contract with another company. As a result, few carriers were willing to pick up my car at the real price. Listing a car at a higher price than quoted, then telling a customer that it can only be picked up at the higher price, is deceptive, undermines an actual pickup by a contracted broker, and is a poor representation of a company that someone might trust with their vehicle.
