Excellent Experience - Covered Transport

I have shipped cars almost 10 times and have had a variety of experiences with different brokers and drivers ranging from awful to excellent. This past week using a shipper provided by Allied resulted in my best experience to-date. The driver called in advance the morning of the pick up day. He arrived when he said he would. He called the night before the drop-off date and delivered the car the next morning exactly on time. The car was in the same excellent condition as when the driver loaded it into his carrier. While what I've described sounds like how car shipping should work, unfortunately, it is not the way it often works. At least half the time I have shipped vehicles drivers have not shown up to pick the car up during the agreed upon window (and have not called). One driver was 6 hours late, told me he was on my street and coming up my hill (about 2 miles distance) and arrived 10 hours after that call. If you can find a broker and driver/company that is reliable - whether it is Allied Auto or someone else - stick with them as long as they provide excellent service. I will write another review when I next ship my car in May.
