I posted the following original review about a week ago but need to clarify that this company tried their best to help us contact the driver, who did not answer his phone And refused to try to find the local pickup and delivery addresses. They followed up with the dispatcher, whom I was unable to contact, to locate the driver, who spoke LITTLE ENGLISH. Here's my original review: My problems with this transaction were twofold. First, my quote was for $799. I actually paid $100 above the bid because they 'couldn't find a shipper who would accept that price.' By the time I was told it would cost an extra $100 it was too late to make other arrangements. But that was not the biggest problem. The driver and his assistant BARELY spoke English and made no effort to make either the promised door to door pickup or delivery. The car was picked up at a highway on ramp in LA and it was impossible to communicate with the eastern European gentleman who drove, because he did not speak English and his dispatcher was very hard to reach. Furthermore, it took a couple of hours for us to rendezvous with the driver in Maryland because he couldn't even locate East-West highway, a major thoroughfare in the DC area! This has not been a problem for other transporters in the past. As a result, we had to drive around until we found them PARKED ON THE SHOULDER OF I495 (The Capital Beltway), where the car was offloaded and 'delivered.' In my book, this was not excellent customer service. Again, the people at All-States tried their best, I believe, to help. But it was a poor choice on their part. Isn't that part of their responsibility as an Auto Transport company?
