The process of selecting the right company was quite overwhelming, specially if you apply to get quote from different places, I was bombarded with low ball parks ($500's), fair prices (low $700's to mid 800's) and crazy high prices ($900+).. the bottom line was trying to find the right person who would be upfront and have the patience of explaining how this works.. Tony took the time to get me inline and post my car online right away.. he was upfront with the time frame and pretty close with the price negotiated that went up only $50 due to this route, the first truck company that he found me was no show (Bonsai Auto Transport out of IN), but he was able to get a second driver within 24 hours and the guy was amazingly punctual and communicative, arrived on time and was patience to wait for me to bring some gas bc the car was out of it.. After delivery Tony followed up with me and appreciated our business..
I'm not going to lie, at the beginning is hard to trust somebody to give out your credit card info, Tony and I agreed to get this info at the time he'd find the company and there was no problem with that..
He definitely worked hard and was very efficient.. I'm a happy camper after all..
Guys & gals, be patience with this process you'll probably won't find a trucking company quoting you any number unless you go to their website and they are not cheap (always want top dollars).. But brokers like Tony will work hard to get you the car or items moved in realistic time, he won't BS you and I liked that..
When things sound too good to be true is because they are, these folks can't control what the truck companies charge but they have an idea of what they have charged in similar routes or the same route and all they'll do is charge you for their commission (deposit) to try to get you the best price, so a little fluctuation may occur and that would be out of the broker's control..
