Never delivered, kept my $200 deposit. BEWARE.

All Coast Auto Transport took my money and now do not want to give it back.

After being told it would cost $1780 to do a "quicker" delivery of a truck I had bought, I accepted and paid a $200 deposit to All Coast Auto Transport. This was a special delivery out of my home state for a birthday gift where my family was going to be for one full week. All of it full and known by the broker All Coast and with the fee being $1780 a trucker/driver had already accepted the price (the first deception) I wanted the vehicle delivered as a surprise.

Once All Coast had my money the communication slowed and in the end was non existent. They had turned me over as a broker to a dispatcher and they were "free of me" but had taken a $200 deposit.

A driver was never found to ship my vehicle during the promised time and in time for the birthday celebration. I was okay with that... things happen. The very last day I was at the location where the vehicle was to be delivered, I got a call from a driver that said "for a discount... can we please please please deliver your vehicle 5 hours away from where you are and have you come pick it up?" At this point in time they had not even picked up the vehicle on the east coast and it would take four days to get where we were (Utah) and we were leaving the next morning to come home and back to Texas. We had been gone a week. We would not even be there anymore, even if we had wanted to drive the five hours to go pickup the vehicle.

When I returned home I let the broker "All Coast Auto Transport" know what had happened and asked for my deposit back as they never rendered a service (via email). Kelly who was a very nice salesperson had not responded to my two emails requesting a refund so I called. She told me her email had been offline and apologized but they did not offer refunds. She told me she'd have a manager call but it didn't look good. I never got a call from a manager, and in the end, had to initiate a credit card chargeback.

Beware of All Coast.... they are a broker that gets a "FEE" for finding someone for you, then it's out of their hands. They don't even work directly with the truckers/shippers... they are just a front door to the entire process.

Do your homework and don't give "ANYONE" a deposit... all good shippers have your vehicle as a deposit and don't need a deposit or any "up front" money.

Learn from my mistake.... All Coast as well as quite a few others are just after a few quick dollars then they'll drop you like a hot rock when you need them. They pay to be on a national website where people like you and I sign up to find a shipper....then they send you a quote and you think "great... this was easy". They will tell you they have a "truck in the area" and when they get your money they will tell you "a driver has accepted the rate we quoted you"... as if someone a real person has been found. Then the wait starts as they look for the right "deal"....the broker turns it over to a dispatcher who know tries to find a driver and get your vehicle.

How do I know all this... I tried this process twice and it failed both times. I was refunded the first time another "broker" failed which is why the vehicle had to be delivered to Utah instead of my home state of Texas.

Do not use a website, call some actual trucking firms and ask if they own their own rigs and equipment. The do your homework and research to get the right deal.

I hope I have saved one person from the pain I've been through.

This review by William Sather is not accurate. First of all the quote of $1780 was not due to a rush order. It was due to the truck being a large one with swamp tires. It was also a very uncommon route from Maryland to Utah. Prior to placing this order, this customer signed our Terms and Conditions which clearly states we are brokers and charge a non-refundable fee to locate a driver to transport your vehicle. We work directly with over 1100 carriers nationwide. Our Terms also states we are unable to guarantee pick up and or delivery on a specific date and or time. Even though this customer signed our terms, he is now acting as if we did not disclose these facts in writing. He also left out the fact that we first provided a transport quote to him on 4-17-12 and could not get him to place the order until 4-24-12. That is 7 days later. Had he placed his order sooner, this vehicle would have arrived much sooner.
