All Auto had the lowest quote, BUT after the 14 day contract period they called and said it could be picked up right away if another $200 was given to the carrier. This sounds bad, but it appears to be fairly normal in this business. Apparently, it is like trading stocks or bonds. There is a buyer and a seller. If price is too cheap no buyers will bid. Anyway, their price after the additional $200 was still lower than the other competitors who may have taken just as long. The All Auto sales person was helpful although hard to get on the phone without leaving a message. Once the hauler, Highline Transport, got involved I have to give them an A+. Highline communicated constantly on the status of the pickup, transport and delivery. Overall, we got a good value for the money, but it took a little longer than expected. Still, we weren't in a hurry and that is why we took the low bid anyway. One could have paid a lot more for this service, and you will get a lot of calls and some are pushy. I would recommend All Auto, but if you want it in a hurry you should tell them up front so they can bid it up.
