On March 18, 2010, I contact All Around Auto Transport to have a vehicle shipped from Oregon to AL and spoke to Brian Davis. He told me everything I wanted to hear and gave me an enticing price of $945. He said he'd send me a contract and asked for my credit card number. He led me to believe that he would not run my credit card for the deposit until they had the signed contract.
After looking at the contract he e-mailed to me, I decided to check out the company. After reading the reviews and seeing that they had only been in business for a few months, I decided that I didn't want to hire them. I called them back immediately. I spoke with Michelle because Brian was unavailable. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable with their company after reviewing their ratings and would be taking my business elsewhere. I also e-mailed Brian right away stating the same.
He responded by e-mail right away and said "no problem" and that they would "reimburse my money back" and "it will be in your account tomorrow since the accountant has left". He also said to "give me a call back tomorrow if you haven't seen the refund in your account by 2pm." He said that most of the bad reviews are "fake reviews from the competition". Well, they are proving to be true.
Guess what?! That was over a week ago and I still have not had the charge credited back to my credit card. I have made numerous calls and sent e-mails, but I either get put on hold, I get the answering machine or get music and no response by e-mail. I cannot get in touch with anyone.
I am disputing this charge with the credit card company and also contacting the BBB. How can the company charge me for a service that they haven't provided? The charge didn't even post to my account until the next day. There was no reason for them to charge my card at all. I cancelled before I even signed the contract. I can only imagine what would have happened if I HAD signed the contract.
Do not trust this company. They will tell you exactly what you want to hear and then steal your deposit and you will not be able to get a hold of them again. That is no way to run a business. I don't know how these people can sleep at night.
