We contracted with All Aboard to haul an antique car from Calif to Oregon. The car was scheduled for pick up on Dec. 19th. The date of pick up came and went. I would get the run around when contacting them for another pick up date. One driver was going to do a pick up on the contracted date but he wanted to know if we had a winch but he didn't even know what State the pick up city was in. Apparently the All Aboard agent was clueless too. They did finally find a driver 10 days later but he wanted $500 more than the original quote in cash at delivery. I immediately canceled the contract and asked to have the $200 deposit refunded. We were very flexible on the delivery dates because this wasn't a car that had to be there at a certain time.
They did send a check for $200 but of course that came back with NSF. Luckily I had originally put the deposit on my credit card and am in the process of getting that resolved with the credit card company. I, like the others have not been able to contact the company directly.
I did try to find reviews of this company before making a contract with them but found nothing about them. That should have been my first clue. Instead of trying to find another company to haul the car, we are going to do it ourselves. I suppose there are good companies out there but not worth the hassle. I will also contact the BBB in Florida. Be VERY careful when dealing with any of these companies as we found that what they quote you is most likely not going to be the actual final cost and make sure the drivers have the proper insurance for the States they will be working in. Talk to the driver and have them fax you that information so you can check it out.
