Very disappointing experience with ALEDI LLC

I had a very disappointing experience with ALEDI LLC and would not use them again. ALEDI was assigned to transport my vehicle from Virginia to California. A few days before the estimated pickup date, they called me and said their truck had a clutch problem and they could not pick up my vehicle within the agreed pickup window. I understand that trucks can have mechanical problems, and things like that can happen. But this caused a lot of delay and inconvenience for me. The broker tried to find another carrier, but could not find one in time, so I had to cancel the shipment and start over with another broker. What really made me upset was that after I booked the same shipment a few days later with another broker at a higher price, ALEDI accepted the order again within a few hours. This made me wonder if the original mechanical problem was really the reason they could not take my shipment, or if the money they were getting had something to do with it. I can’t know for sure what happened on their side, but as a customer, this whole experience was very frustrating. I lost time, had to make new arrangements, and had a lot of unnecessary trouble because the shipment was not completed as planned. I would not recommend ALEDI LLC based on my experience.
