Bad Experience With Shipper

I used Agape for an auto transport two years ago, and due to my satisfaction with the experience (they picked up on time, delivered early, and were very professional and courteous throughout), I chose to go with them again for the shipment of my brand new vehicle.

Had I known what would have happened, I would have just driven the car down myself given my dissatisfaction with the experience.

First of all, the shipper they used was very very difficult to get in touch with. The shipping company was run by him and his son, and it was almost virtually impossible to get in touch with them, since they had no land line and his cell phone was largely ignored. Secondly, he would not take my directions about the low-lying branches on the streets next to me and instead insisted on finding a place to park myself (despite my advice about very open and spacious areas nearby), which ate up an hour of time as I tried to locate him.

But most significantly, my brand new car was DAMAGED, with a scratch several inches wide across the entire back bumper. When I mentioned this to the shipper (a day later since despite my calling him literally 10 minutes later, he never picked up), he refused to pay damages, despite estimates varying between $700 (for repair) and $900 (for replacement). I spent hours arguing with him over the phone, with him gradually adding the amount that he was willing to pay, despite the ENTIRE ACCIDENT being HIS FAULT.

Then, he insisted I delay repair for a week in order to wait for him to see if there were cheaper prices (the car is a brand new luxury car, with strict guidelines on what may or may not be altered in order to keep the warranty) in shoddy repair shops in bad parts of town. After that week, he would continuously tell me he would repay me the next day, but it took another week of constant calls and headaches (and a drive of over 3 hours on my part) to get him to cooperate.

In short, the experience was the worst possible thing that could have happened, and I highly recommend AGAINST using this company.

First, we offer our sincerest apology to Kristina for the experience she had with the CARRIER. We had no idea that any of this had occurred. This particular carrier we have used several times and never had a problem or complaint. However, we will be addressing this issue immediately with the carrier. We care very much how our customers are treated. This is a very uncommon and unfortunate situation and one we could have assisted Kristina with had she let us know. Kristina, we have emailed you and left you messages to find out how your experience was and we have been unable to reach you. The carriers are very experienced in knowing where they can and cannot take their large car carriers. They try their best to meet at a nearby and convenient location if they are unable to get to the residence. If there is ever any damages done to a vehicle during transit and the carrier is uncooperative, please call us! We are here for our customers to assist in the filing of a claim. We have their certificate of insurance on file and can give you that to you so you can contact their insurance company directly. We could have helped Kristina so she wouldnt have felt overwhelmed. However, she has never contacted us. We understand Kristina being unhappy with the carrier and this review is really about the carrier, Pavel and Sons Auto Transport and NOT about Agape Auto Transport. We can still assist Kristina and we will continue to try and reach her.
