Booking an auto transport is an educational experience. I ended up with 11 quotes ranging from $810 to $1,750, with Agape Auto Transport at $1,150. Initially I placed an online order with the low quote of $810, and then received a telephone call saying the quoted price was an error and the actual quote was $1,185. It felt like a bait and switch to me, so I cancelled. I then looked carefully at the Transport Reviews with the intent of booking with only a 5 star rated company. Agape Auto Transport at $1,150 was the lowest cost of the 5 star rated companies. I briefly considered an expedited pickup, but then on 7/20/09 I booked the "Rock Bottom Price" of $1,150 with Christy at Agape, which is for a pick up within 1 to 7 days. Much to my surprise, I received confirmation from Christy that the car would be picked up on 7/20/09, the same day as I booked. WOW. The problem was my seller was out of town that day, so the next available pick was on Saturday, 5 days later. My 1957 Thunderbird was loaded on the bottom and the seller confirmed that the transport driver placed a plastic sheet over the car for protection against drips from the car above. I felt like the car was well cared for from start to finish. The word Agape is a Greek word meaning "love". Agape Auto Transport lives up to it's name.
